Michael Totty of the WSJ (October 19, 2009)has a cover story of what he called "the five technologies" that could change the energy game in the future. These are:
1. Advanced Car Battery (lithium-air compound)
2. Carbon Capture and Storage
3. Space Based Solar Energy
4. Renewable energy (wind and solar) storage's
5. Next-Generation Biofuels(non food)
All these technologies are at their early stage, but have the potential promise to change the nature of current energy supply.
